I love telling stories. That’s why I became a print journalist and why I transitioned into communications and marketing.

Every organization has its own values, culture, and aspirations. Your communications and marketing - including your publications,  your website, your social media and your advertising - set the tone. Consistent, strong messaging will convey your values in a powerful way. Whether you are launching a new business, promoting a special program, or publicizing a fundraiser, there's a story there. I'll help you find the best way to tell yours.

You might be looking for an executive profile or some updated web content, want a creative publication, or need a complete brand overhaul and new integrated marketing plan. I can help with a single project or more in-depth strategic planning. My work in higher education and journalism has allowed me to work on a broad array of projects, including advocating for underserved communities, promoting important research,  and publicizing major conferences. I particularly enjoy writing about people who are making a difference and helping nonprofit organizations and small businesses expand their reach. And I love coming up with creative ideas to accomplish this.

We’ll start by getting to know each other. I’ll ask a lot of questions – I’m a reporter at heart after all – so I clearly understand your organization and your goals. Then we’ll work together to come up with best strategy to help you achieve them. We’ll have some fun along the way as we come up with compelling ways to share your exciting initiatives and promote your work.

In my spare time, I am writing a novel, keeping up with a spirited 9-year-old, and doing my best to keep our rambunctious puppy from destroying our house.
